Lakeview received funding in 2024 from the Federal New Horizons Seniors Grant Program to develop and offer a program called Seniors – Planning Ahead. The purpose of the program was to educate Seniors on topics related to death and dying so that they could confirm what plans they had in place and that they understood the importance of talking about their wishes and plans with their families.
The program was offered twice in 2024 with a total of 64 seniors attending. Topics included wills & estate planning, powers of attorney, advance care planning, options for end of life care, estate taxes, role of the executor, funerals and grief and bereavement.
We are pleased to announce that we will be running the program again in February/March, 2025.
